Return of major sports aids recovery

Lula Foret Teixeira, 91, a native of Lafourche Crossing and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, May 14.
She is survived by two nieces; two nephews; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Frank L. Teixeira; her parents, Eston and Odilia Pertuit Foret; two brothers, Floyd and Laurent Foret; and one sister, Rita Foret.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening and was a friend to all. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Fridaym May 29, at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Thibodaux, La. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
