Mable Williams, 69, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Dularge Community, La., died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.


Ms. Williams was Baptist and a member of Howard Third Zion Travelers Baptist Church. She was a retired employee with the Terrebonne Parish School Board.


She is survived by her son, Leondra Williams; daughter, Trina (Terrence) Sylvester; brothers, Douglas Williams and Freddie, Kenneth, Edward and Clinton (Gail) Swing; sisters, Irma Harding, Marion (Perry) Smith, Jacquelyn Williams, Cemetra (Roland) Wolfe, Mary (Kenneth) Brown, Jeanette (Henry) Jones, Earline Lewis, Leola, Donna and Amy Swing, Kathy Warrant, Albertha (Keith) Carter and Stepanie (Calvin) Fusiler; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Prevost and Arthur Swing Sr.; brothers, Earl Williams, Arthur, Robert and John Swing and Donald Celestine; and sisters, Melvina Swing, Nancy Harvey, Yvonne Salsbury, Verna Harding and  Annette Gorrell.

Burial was at Crozier Cemetery. (Community)
