October 27, 2011Margaret Jarvis Hamilton, 65, a native of Belle Rose, La., and resident of Donaldsonville, La., died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011.
Ms. Hamilton was an employee at Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Jr. (Shelly) and Chakerus Sr. Hamilton; daughters, Kimberly Hamilton and Carmen (Sherman) Berry; sisters, Shirley and Elizabeth Jarvis and Mary Sims; brother, Arthur (Rosetta) Jarvis; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Heirley Jarvis; and sister, Rose Bell.
Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Belle Rose. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at the church cemetery. (Williams & Southall)
