May 6, 2010Marguerite “Maggie” Hargis Knight, 85, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2010.
Mrs. Knight retired from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and her wishes were to further science and education by donating her body to the LSU School of Medicine.
She was a devoted catholic, loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Joseph “Jay” (Cindy), Alex “Butch” (Charlotte), George and Paul Knight, and Marguerite (Louis) Erwin; five grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Hillman, Beatrice Punch, Betty Folse and Marietta Adams.
In lieu of flowers, donations to E.D. White Catholic High School’s Prayer Garden are appreciated.
