July 25, 2011Marie Faye Gilbert Ayo, 90, a native of Patterson, La., and resident of Harahan, La., died Tuesday, July 19, 2011.
Mrs. Ayo was an excellent seamstress and loved to crochet. She enjoyed cooking and reading, but above anything else, she loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Dale) Landry, Dale, Gerald (Rachael) and Sidney Jr. (Ruby) Ayo and Christine Mano; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Ayo Sr.; and son, Henry Ayo.
Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 22, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
