Marie Orgeron Guidry, 91, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Saturday, Aug. 15, at 10:15 a.m.


She is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. Guidry and Ted J. Guidry; two daughters, Diana G. Duet and husband Daniel, and Nancy G. Orgeron and husband Belton “Blondie”; two brothers, Norman Orgeron and Herman Orgeron; two sisters, Annabelle Ponville and Betty Lou Blanchard; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilkerson “Brown” Joseph Guidry; parents, Justlian and Augusta Trosclair Orgeron; one son, Russell J. Guidry; two brothers, Jimmy Orgeron and Albert Orgeron; three sisters, Francis Badeaux, Maggie Robichaux and Emelda Lefort; and one grandchild, Danny Duet.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose where she was a member of the Altar Society. She loved to crochet.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
