Thibodaux church finds its place after 10-year expansion

Marie Boudreaux Orgeron, 82, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Belle Chasse, La., for 49 years, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Woldenberg Village in New Orleans.


Mrs. Orgeron was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Belle Chasse.

She is survived by her children, Deardra Orgeron, Virginia Bayhi, Sylvia Langlinais, Marsha Crawford, Karen Gulotta, Denise Perez, Jennifer Barnard, Robert Orgeron and Ruby Frances Renegar; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Orgeron; parents, Robert and Eva Thibodaux Boudreaux; brothers, Joseph and Norman Boudreaux; and sister, Mildred Boudreaux.

She is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital, C/O The Development Office, 200 Henry Clay Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70118 in memory of Marie Orgeron.

Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway in Harvey is in charge of arrangements.
