Jail woes continue in Lafourche Parish with tax on hold – for now

May 16, 2011Marie Ella Solet Parfait, 75, a native and resident of Dulac, La., died Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Ramona (John) Gregoire, Carolyn (Clyde) Dion, Mary (Ennis) Luke, Marilyn Champagne and Miranda (Joseph) Jeblonski; sons, Howard (Dotti), Merlin (Cristy), Raymond (Tanya), John, Julian (Shelly) and Adrian (Autumn) Parfait; 29 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Gregoire.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Howard Parfait; parents, Eddie and Madeline Billiot Solet; son, Steven Parfait; and brothers, Edwin and Edward Parfait.
She is buried at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
