Marie Aysenne Ponvelle, 90, a native and resident of Labadieville, La., died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Gaudet; sons, Elvin (Barbara), Resley (Patricia) and Carroll (Verna) Ponvelle; sister, MaryAnn Chatagnier; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ponvelle; one daughter, Peggy Ponvelle Stroud; one great-grandson, Cody Gaudet; one stepson, Joseph “A.J.” Ponvelle; her parents, Adolph and Lydia Fremin Aysenne; and four brothers, Ambroise, Ettienne, Lloyd and Garland Aysenne.
She is buried at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville.
