Marion Maxine Nix Walters, 83, a native of Ellisville, Miss., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
Mrs. Walters was a devoted wife, companion, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to cook, sew and fish, was an avid Saints fan and enjoyed listening to southern gospel music. She enjoyed sitting on her patio with her dog and cat and waving to all her neighbors. She was a member of Coteau Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Steven Walters; daughter, Marian (Gary) Long; sister, Betty (Lewis) Davis; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleborn Walters; companion, Jimmie LeBeouf; parents, Andrew and Mary Nix; sister, Carmen Waltman; and brothers, Jack and Russell Sr. Nix.
Burial is at Walters Cemetery. (Samart)
