Marion “Granny” Barrios Robichaux, 80, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, January 18, 2008.
She is survived by her daughters, Carrie Gutridge and husband, Scott, of Coral Springs, Fl., Carla Huntwork and husband, Mark, of Baltimore, Oh., and Char Abadie and husband, Brian, of Houma, La.; son, Colby Robichaux and wife, Celeste, of Thibodaux; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, A.J. Barrios and wife, Bernice, of Baton Rouge, La., Roy Barrios and wife, Lorena, of Augusta, Ga., and Philip Barrios of Thibodaux; and sisters, Aline Picou of Houma and Jeannie Zeringue and husband, Ralph, of Thibodaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. “Roby” Robichaux Jr.; and her parents, Alcide and Euphrozine Barrios.
Marion was a very loving and caring person and will be missed by her family and all that knew her. At her request, her remains were cremated and will be interred in the family tomb.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Thibodaux Family Church or your favorite charity.
