Marjorie Clement Gaudet, 86, a native of Labadieville, La. and resident of Thibodaux, La. died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at 3:20 a.m.


She is survived by one son, Elbert L. Gaudet, Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Debra O. Gaudet; two grandsons, Christopher Gaudet and his wife Melanie and Brian Gaudet and his wife Holly; one great-grandson, Braden Gaudet; one great-granddaughter, Ava Gaudet; one sister, Grace Clement Carter; one nephew, James Carter; and two nieces, Wanda C. Talbot and Katherine C. Mannina.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Elbert L. Gaudet Sr.; her parents, Eusebe and Dorisé Sevin Clement; her grandmother, Ida Lasseigne Sevin; aunt, Noelie Sevin; two uncles, Earl P. Sevin and Harold J. Sevin Sr., who helped raise her after her mother’s death at a very young age.

Marjorie was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. She was a retired beautician, a member of the Hairdressers Unlimited Social Club, the Ladies Altar Society, and Business and Professional Women’s Club. She touched the lives of many with her caring and generosity.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 5, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that Masses be dedicated.
