Marks Patterson Sr., 79, a native of Napoleonville, La., and resident of Donaldsonville, La., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012.
Mr. Patterson was a retired laborer.
He is survived by his daughters, Dianne and Mary Ann Patterson and Shannon and Angelica Brown; sons, Anthony, Marks Jr. and Shawn Patterson; companion, Oneda Griffin; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anaise and Lawrence Patterson; son, Jeffery Brown; brothers, Claudy, Francis and Steven Patterson; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Bertrandville, La., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. (Williams & Southall)
