Marlynette Danita Britton, 46, a native of San Francisco, Calif., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011.
Ms. Britton was Baptist
She is survived by her son, Spencer Simon Jr.; daughter, Shantasia Simon; and brothers, Charles and David Britton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Margaret Britton; and grandparents, Herman and Lillian Celestine and Catherine Britton.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Restoration-Hope Outreach Church in Houma with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Southdown Cemetery. (Kennedy)
