May 25, 2011Mary Jane Schexnayder Becnel, 74, a native of Grand Pointe, La., and resident of Vacherie, La., died at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence “Conto” Becnel Sr.; sons, Lawrence Jr. (Connie) and David (Cathy) Becnel; brothers, Jim and Nelson “Pie” Schexnayder; sisters, Esther Mae Oubre and Dolores Catoire; six grandchildren, Tracie, Kelly, Crystal, Jay, Sara and Bree; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Yolande and Beatrice Louque Schexnayder; and one brother, Carol Schexnayder.
She is buried at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
