Mary Cheramie

Mary Ann Vizier Cheramie, 68, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Larose, La., died Saturday, August 25, 2007, at 6:16 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Cheramie Sr.; five sons, T-John and his wife Julie, Taylor and his wife Trish, Drake and his wife Jackie, Chris and his wife Melinda, and Wade and his wife Mitzi Galjour; two daughters, Tina G. Reed and her husband Kirk and Dolci G. Fillinich and her husband Dickie; four stepsons, Mark and his wife Teresa, T-Man and his wife Penny, Stephen and his wife Neely, and Jonathan and his wife Lisa Cheramie; four stepdaughters, Kaye Bruce and her husband Timmy, Lorry Estay and her husband Jessie, Rebecca St. Pierre and her husband Joseph, and Crystal Bourg and her husband Marvin; one foster daughter, Gwen Eschette and her husband Ron Peters; two brothers, Douglas and Rodney Vizier; two sisters, Viola Terrebonne and Betty Lefort; 42 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clovis Jr. and Olanda Boudreaux Vizier; one brother, Norman Vizier Sr.; and three grandchildren, Jeff Estay, London Estay and Jolie Cheramie.

Mary loved bowling, gardening and singing karaoke with her large family of 122 immediate family members.

Visitation is Tuesday, August 28, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
