Houma man found guilty of wife’s ‘04 storage box murder

Mary Francis Thompson Navy, 75, a native and resident of Houma, LA., died Friday, January 26, 2007.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Community Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Combon Cemetery.


She is survived by two sons, Royal and Duke Hampton; one brother, Enos Thompson; four sisters, Magdelean Rousseau, Victoria Logan, Dora Benton and Effie Johnson; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal Hamptson Sr.; her parents, Arthur and Zenobia Thompson; three sons, Jerry, Lionel and Tyrone Hampton; five brothers, Isaac, Huit, Colbert, Arthur Jr. and Forrest Thompson; and four sisters, Grace, Rosie, Eliza and Charlotte Thompson.

She was a homemaker.
