239 T’bonne school jobs to be cut
June 3, 2010Mary Louise Kyle Newton, 88, a native of Muhlenberg County, Ky., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, May 28, 2010.
Mrs. Newton was an active member of University Baptist Church in Thibodaux. She worked as a secretary for the Social Security Administration in San Francisco where she retired. She and her late husband Kenneth moved to Thibodaux about nine years ago to be closer to their daughter. She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, crocheting and working puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Sidney) Forrestier; sons, Larry (Sue), Nolan (Phyliss), Carlos (Joann) and Marvin (Carolyn) Holder; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
She is buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
