Mary Wallis Goodroe, 97, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010.

Mrs. Goodroe was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, artist and a volunteer at Leonard J. Chabert Memorial Hospital.


She is survived by son, Haywood John Goodroe; daughters, Carmen Bennett, Reginald “Duggie” Hoagland and Margaret “Maggie” Mozesky; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.

She is buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
