Maurice Joseph Boudreaux, Sr., 85, a resident of Houma, La. and a native of Ashland, La., died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 a.m. to funeral time, in which mass will be held, Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at Annunziata Catholic Church with burial in the cemetery.


He is survived by one son, Maurice ” Moe” Joseph Boudreaux, Jr. and wife, Mollie of Houma; two daughters, Barbara and husband, Fred Dufrene of Houma and Lou Annie and husband, Herbert Miller of Houma; 7 brothers, Edward, Ivy, Ernest, Eddie, Larry, Gilbert, and Wilbert Boudreaux; 9 sisters, Delores Trosclair, Betty Dauzar, Gloria Duplantis, Jeannette Aucoin, Nettie Burton, Lillian Voisin, Edna Boudreaux, Lisa Deese, and Victoria Guidry; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lirette Boudreaux; his father and stepmother, Eddie and Marie Boudreaux; his mother and stepfather, Marie and Victor Fazzio, and his sister, Ira Boudreaux.

He was a self employed trawler, an owner of Supreme Donuts, and a member of the American Legion Post 31. He was also a former Deputy, City Marshall, and Tug Boat Captain.

He was a W.W. II Army Veteran.

He was a parishoner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
