Maurice Peter Carlos, Jr., 73, a native of Houma, La. and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, May 14, at 4:18 a.m.
He is survived by his wife Dianne Prince Carlos who he was happily married to for 48 years, Sons, Chad Carlos and Mike Carlos, Daughters, Carla Roddy, Rhonda Granier, Paula Fontenot, Marla Chaisson, Leah Carlos, Brothers, Aubrey Carlos, Larry Carlos, Patrick Carlos, Sisters, Elma Smith, Patricia Boggs, 19 Grandchildren, and 7 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents Morris Carlos and Cora Hebert Carlos and one grandchild Jennifer Roddy. Pallbearers will be Chad Carlos, Michael Carlos, Aubrey Carlos, Patrick Carlos, Larry Carlos, Norbert Prince, Jr.
He was veteran of the Air Force and a member of Woodmen of the World. He was a great Christian and very active in his church, the House of Prayer. He was a great outdoorsmen. Maurice was loved and respected by everybody and never met a stranger. He was very close with all of his family and will be dearly missed by all.
Visitation will be on 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 17, and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday, May 18 at the House of Prayer in Thibodaux, La with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the House of Prayer Cemetery.
