Maxine Tillett

Maxine McGinnis Lyall Tillett, 67, a native of Plaquemine, La., formerly of Gibson, La., and Houma, La., and a resident of West, Texas, lost her battle with cancer Friday, April 23, 2010, at Regent Care Center in Waco, Texas.

Mrs. Tillet worked 18 years as a teacher’s aide at Gibson Elementary School.

She is survived by sons, Andy (Vicki) and Todd (Tena) Mabile, Charles (Elizabeth) Ourso and Jason (Angela) Lyall; daughter, Nancy Nichols; brothers, Charles (Cathy) and Al McGinnis; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her former husband, Tony (Carolyn) Mabile; and a host of other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Providence Hospice are appreciated.
