Coteau-Bayou Blue gets jump start at business world

May D. Morvant, 89, a native of Labadieville, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., and Mathews, La., died Friday, May 2, at 9:05 p.m.
She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Champagne and husband, Patrick Stanley Champagne; sister, Amy Eschete, grandchildren, Stacy Chaisson, Patrick Champagne Jr., Laura Trahan and Charlene Cressonie; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton “Frank” Morvant; her parents, Emile Edward Doiron and Laura Gros Doiron; and sister, Rufamay Bilello.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Thibodaux Funeral Home and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
