Area environment prompts holiday alternatives
December 5, 2011May Ola Ohmer Barras, 77, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Patterson, La., died at 11:06 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Don (Jane) and Larry (Darlene) Barras; grandchildren, Chad, Sabrina and Lelia Barras and Casey (Tom) Kowatch; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ignace Barras; parents, George Sr. and Florence Ohmer; and siblings, Dorothy David, Doris Eschedor and Irving Sr., Gerald Sr. and George Jr. Ohmer.
Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Ibert’s)
