Melvin “Knucklehead” Beauty Sr., 80, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La. and a resident of Bayou Dularge, La., died Wednesday, May 23, 2007.


Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Baptist Church, 1039 Bayou Dularge Rd. Burial will be in St. Luke Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Edward Beauty and wife, Sandria, Melvin Beauty Jr., and Marvin Beauty and wife, Yvonne; his daughters, Lianna Coleman and Benjamine, Rosie M. Beauty, Josie M. Beauty, Rebecca Scott, Katherine Beamon, Brenda Parker and Ronald, Elaine Smith and George, and Lorraine Coleman and Stevie; his brother, James Beauty and wife Irma; and his sisters, Emma Harding, Lillian Smith, Merceeds Moses, Bertha M. Holmes, and Mildred Henry.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable W. Beauty; his parents, Nixon and Hattie Jenkins Beauty; his daughters, Diane Bolden; his brother, Clarence Beauty; and his sisters, Araminta Harris and Alma Beauty.

He was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church.

He enjoyed fising and a retired machine operator.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
