Melvin Harry “Wiggles” Johnson Jr., 65, a native of Cabool, Mo., and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, July 27, 2010.


Mr. Johnson was an employee of Global Industries for 20 years and most of those years were spent on the “DOB CHEROKEE”. He was affectionately known as “Wiggles” by his co-workers.

He is survived by his wife, Elodie “Sissie” Potter Johnson; son, Richard Johnson; son-in-law, David Clark; three grandsons, Aaron and Travis Clark and Ryan Harper; one granddaughter, Chasity Johnson; sister, Joyce (Frank) Dewitt; sister-in-law, Linda Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Johnson Clark; parents, Melvin Sr. and Eva Marie Holmes Johnson; one brother, James Johnson; and one sister, Janet Johnson.

He is buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
