October 26, 2012Mercedes L. “Mert” Favorite, 82, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Donaldsonville, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012.
Mrs. Favorite was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Favorite; son, Florence (Constance) Favorite; daughters, Cynthia (Issac) Thomas and Patricia Breaux; sister, Pearlie Williams; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Olevia Lotts; son, Alvin Favorite Sr; daughter, Barbara Morgan; one sister; and five brothers.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Paincourtville, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at Asberry Methodist Church Cemetery in White Castle, La. (Williams & Southall)
