Merlin Joseph Guidry, 85, a native of Lafayette, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 12:33 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010.
Mr. Guidry was a professional aircraft pilot and caretaker at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Guidry; sister, Dorothy Rousselle; stepdaughter, Faith (Randy) Breaux; and two step-grandchildren.
Burial was at St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery.
