Merlin J. “Peter” Boudreaux Sr., 88, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a longtime resident of Raceland, La., and four-year resident of Metairie, La., died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010.


He is survived by his daughter, Ann Comeaux; daughter-law, Laurence Boudreaux; brother, Nathan Boudreaux; sisters, Verna Chatman, Millie Cunningham, Juanita Chiasson, Tessie Boulet and Barbara Landry; grandchildren, Susan Punch, Curtis Comeaux Jr. and Farrell and Mark Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Dustin Punch, Sarah, Hunter, Brandon, Brody and Bryce Comeaux and Brent and Sophia Boudreaux; step-grandchild, Travis Bourgeois; step-great-grandchildren, Kylerlynn and Prypen Bourgeois; former wife, Esther Rodriguez Boudreaux; and numerous step-family members.


He is preceded in death by his wife, Elma Danos Boudreaux; parents, Eddie and Annie Oncale Boudreaux; son, Merlin Boudreaux Jr.; grandson, Kurt Comeaux; brother, Ernest Boudreaux; and sister, Hazel Boudreaux.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at St. Hilary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Boudreaux will be buried at St. Mary Cemetery.
