Merlin James Martin, 65, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died Friday, April 15, 2011.
Mr. Martin was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a self-employed boat captain.
He is survived by his brother, Sterling (Susan) Martin; and sisters, Rosaline Martin, Linda (Steve) Rodriguez, Cynthia (Rodney) Bourg, Pamela Martin and Rhonda (Stacy) Dunn.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Doris Theresa Authement Martin.
He is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Chauvin. (Chauvin)
