Local lawmakers’ pre-filings a mixed bag
March 25, 2010Merril T. Scales, 82, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, March 12, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Robert Sr.) Reeves; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Scales Sr.; parents, Joseph and Agnes Bergeron Marcel; son, James W. Scales Jr.; brother, Ira Paco Marcel; and sisters, Irabella (M.C.) Benoit, Walterine (George) Waalk, Marion (Joseph) Webre, Mayola (Raymond) Boudreaux, Sue (Curtis) Trahan and Barbara Porche.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
