Michael James Dupont, 49, a resident of Bayou Vista, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011.
Mr. Dupont enjoyed spending time outdoors taking his sons hunting and fishing while instilling the same hard working values that he demonstrated in his own life. He was known for having a big heart and helping others in need. He worked for Oceaneering for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Dupont; sons, James, Travis and Simon (Mandy) Dupont; daughter, Michaela Dupont; brother, Allen Dupont; sister, Pat (Robert) Becnel; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Meriam Dupont; sister, Josette Dupont; and grandparents, Robert and Florence LeBeouf and Adolf and Regina Dupont.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Twin City Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with burial at Morgan City Cemetery. (Twin City)
