Milton Joseph “Mickey” Rhodes, 98, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died at 2 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Lelia Nicol Rhodes; daughter, Sylvia Dee Rhodes; sister, Della Matherne; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by her son, Milton Rhodes Jr.; daughter, Maudra Rhodes; parents, Luc and Corine Rhodes; brothers, Harold, Laurence, William and Druby Rhodes; and sisters, Lola Duplantis and Ruby Boudreaux.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
She will be buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
