Morris Henry Williams Sr., 84, a native of Plaquemines Parish, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010


Mr. Williams was a member of St. Mathews Missionary Baptist Church in Mathews, La., and U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Brown Williams of Connie’ Kitchen of Thibodaux; his father-in-law, Albert Brown of Thibodaux; daughters, Paulette Miller, and Lydia and Deanna Williams; sons, Morris Jr., Paul, Joshua, Maurice, and former Lafourche Parish Councilmen, Tyrone Williams; stepsons, Brian and Adrian Lawrence; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Hamilton and Thazi Williams; mothers-in-law, Gladys Brown and Hattie Hampton; three brothers, Aaron, Albert and Elmo St. Ann; four sisters, Lucille Donaldson, Dora Robinson, and Lydia and Dorothy St. Ann; and grandparents, Josephine Silve and Berrill St. Ann Sr.

He is buried at St. Peter Baptist Church Cemetery.
