Moye Penny Boudreaux, 70, a native of Palestine, Texas, and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, April 26, 2010.

Mrs. Boudreaux was a parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas. An Exxon Mobil retiree, she graduated from Nicholls State University in 2008, at age 69, earning a degree in mass communication. She was a member of The Desk and Derrick Club and a former member of the Terrebonne Council on Aging. Mrs. Boudreaux advocated for a number of causes, including the Haiti Mission and the Humane Society of Houma-Terrebonne. She was also a contributing writer for the Houma Courier.


She is survived by her husband, Louis J. Boudreaux; daughter, Karen (Frank) Gray; stepchildren, Annie (Myron) Dupre, Denise Guidry and Louis Boudreaux; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Haiti Mission and the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation are appreciated.

Mrs. Boudreaux is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
