Mr. Louis Peter Valure Jr., 75, a native of Houma, Louisiana and a resident of Bourg, Louisiana died November 18, 2009.


He is survived by his wife, Velma Sanders; daughters, Lisa (Timmy) Darcey and Stacy (Myron) McElroy; son, Louis Valure III; sisters, Della Prejean, Dianne Campbell, Kathy Whited, Sandra Bergeron and Debra Value; brothers, Chester and Ronnie Valure; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


He was the owner of Valure Electricial and Air Conditioning. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. He loved fishing, traveling and work, but most of all spending time with his family.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to service time Friday, Nov. 20, at St. Ann Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
