Mr. Randolph “Raymond” Brown, 71, born on July 28, 1935, a resident of Gray, La., and a native of Schriever, La., died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006.


Visitation will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at St. Mark Church in Schriever, La., and from 10 a.m. until funeral time, noon Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.


Burial will be at Halfway Cemetary.

Mr. Brown is survived by his two sons, Duke Brown of Modesto, Calif., and Ray Brown of Birmingham, Ala.; four daughters, Iris Reedom of San Antonio, Texas, Michelle Mathews of New Orleans, La., Trelle Brown of Gray, La., and Dena Penner of Madison, Miss.; four sisters, Pearl Adams, Willie Mae Robertson, Rose Brown, and Delores Brown, all of Gray, La.; and six grandchildren.

He is preceeded in death by his wife, Claudette Brown; his parents, Felton and Evelyn Brown; and two brothers, Charlie Brown and Lemuel Brown.

He was a Baptist and a member of St. Mark Church. He was retired and enjoyed traveling.
