Mr. Roy John Cheramie, 73, a native and resident of Mathews, La., died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Rose LeBlanc Cheramie; sons, Roddy (Marcy) and Rory Cheramie; daughters, Rita (Rodney) Arceneaux, Rhonda (Bryan) Plaisance, Rebecca (Billy) Hanks and Roxanne Cheramie; brothers, Paul and Leroy Cheramie; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Jr. and Elise Landry Cheramie; brother, Calvin Cheramie; sister, Joyce Melancon; and grandchild, Logan.
He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Raceland, La.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery in Lockport, La.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
