Murphy J. Foret, 83, a native of Chauvin, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, October 9, at 5:35 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Ann Duplantis Foret; sons, Dale P. and wife Sheila and Peter M. Foret; brothers, Junius and Robert Foret; sister, Rita F. Foret; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evles J. and Leontine Bergeron Foret; brothers, Tonis, Ernest, Percy, Minest and Jervis Foret; and sisters, Aurelia Trahan, Bernice Price and Ann E. Foret.
He was a member of D.A.V., the American Legion and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, October 13, at Falgout Funeral Home’s chapel. He will be buried at St. Francis II Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
