Myrtle “Mert” Robinson Morris, 86, a native of Napoleonville, La. and resident of Little Rock, Ar., died Tuesday, May 19.

She is survived by one daughter, Eula Thomas Stewart and husband, Charles, of Little Rock, Ark.; four brothers, Leroy Lewis and wife, Ernestine, of Bakersfield, Calif., Loris Lewis and Louis Robinson of New Orleans, and Paul Lewis and wife, Doris, of Napoleonville; one sister, Clementine Converse of Napoleonville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, William Morris; her parents, Eva Lewis Simms and Rev. Allen Robinson; one daughter, Lydia Miller; and six siblings.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mt. Moriah Chapter No. 24 of the Order of Eastern Stars, and The Elks.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Napoleonville, La. with religious services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
