Ned A. Bergeron, 67, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houma, La., died May 18, at 6:23 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bourg Bergeron; son, Cody J. Bergeron; daughter, Cabrina Bergeron Marroquin and husband Martin; sister, Nell Aston and husband Thomas Aston, Sr.; Jean Babin and husband Glenn; brothers, Reggis “Pete” Bergeron; Nolan J. Bergeron Jr., and wife Mary Ellen; grandchildren, Blake Anthony Verdin and girlfriend, Ashley Henry, Tyler James Verdin and girlfriend, Jodi Porche, Heather Marie Bergeron and boyfriend Blake Matherne, Ashley Nicole Verdin and boyfriend, Martin Ramirez, Trey Luke Verdin, Alyssa Marie Verdin; great-grandchildren, Julian Joaquin Verdin, Lexi McKay Matherne; and one on the way, Cullen Anthony Verdin; 15 nieces and 8 nephews.


He was preceded in death by, parents, Nolan Bergeron, Sr., and Daisy Vidal Bergeron; sister, Judy Bergeron Boudloche; brother, Eddie “White” Bergeron; grandchildren, Monique Nicole Verdin and Meghan Elizabeth Verdin and nephew, Danny Aston.

Mr. Bergeron was one of the Founders of the Houma Terrebonne Marine Corps League, Masonic Lodge Member, Unity Lodge #267, Terrebonne Fellowship Lodge #481, and Shriners. Co-Founder of BWB Controls, Inc of Houma and Past Board Member of Atchafalaya Levee Board.Mr. Bergeron was a Lance Corporeal in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Bergeron was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma, La. is in charge of arrangements.
