Nell Theresa Picou Robert, 67, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011.
Mrs. Robert was a retired R.N. from TGMC with over 35 years of service and a dedicated volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the Nostros Support Group at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and a devoted parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Rodney Robert; daughters, Patricia (Craig) Moore and Natalie (Keith Jr.) Tassin; son, Stephen (Kristi) Robert; stepson, Rodney (Tina) Robert; sisters, Claudette Dryden and Chris (Henry) Hebert; brother, Robert Sr. (Brenda) Picou; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Anita Picou; grandparents, Freddie and Anniest Thibodeaux and Louis and Lena Picou; and sister, Anne Picou.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
