Nettie Babin Domingue, 98, a native of Myrtle Grove and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

Mrs. Domingue was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux, La., where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She truly enjoyed dancing.


She is survived by her sons, Walter “Sonny” (Patricia) and Thomas “Tommy” (Jackie) Domingue; sister, Elfie Babin Dupre; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Anthony Domingue; her parents, Aurestile and Adele Authement Babin; two sisters, Nita (Jason) Babin Smith and Fanny (Hayes) Babin Porche; and three brothers, Roger “Dade” Babin, Octave “Whitey” Babin and Philip “PeeYank” Babin.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Heritage Manor and to St. Catherine’s Hospice.

She is buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
