February 17, 2010Nina Sybil Cockrell Furlow, 86, a native of Mer Rouge, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Furlow Sevier of Houma; son, Luther Covington (Mary) Furlow III of Aurora, Colo.; and granddaughters, Katherine “Kayce,” Stephanie and Brittany Sevier, and Christina Furlow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Covington Furlow Jr.; parents, Jessie and Lola Eubanks Cockrell; brothers, Bernon and Wesley Cockrell; sister, Sylvia Trahan; and great-niece, Vickie Halterman.
Mrs. Furlow is buried at Carter Cemetery.
Golden Funeral Home of Bastrop is in charge of arrangements.
