Local troops brace for life away from home
January 6, 2010Nora Lee Gibson Fortner, 84, a native and resident of Paincourtville, La., died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie M. Fortner Sr.; daughter, Barbara Harvey; sons, Lonnie Jr. and Terence Fortner; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mildred Mills Gibson; and brother, Arthur Gibson Jr.
Mrs. Fortner is buried at St. Charles Baptist Church Cemetery in Paincourtville.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
