Local teenager was a true hero, always fought the good fight

January 16, 2012Nora Marie Duthu Fitch, 86, a native of Dulac, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012.
Mrs. Fitch was Catholic.
She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia (Maurice Jr.) Bourgeois and Judy (Dr. James) Finnie; brothers, Emile, Claude, Raymond, Houston and Myron Duthu; sisters, Mae Smith, Libbey Brunet and Rosemary Christin; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey Fitch; parents, Luke and Rosemary Duthu; brother, Joseph Duthu; and sister, Rita Dion.
Burial was at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma. (Samart)
