Nora P. Pitre, 79, a native of Galliano, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 7:58 a.m. Monday, June 23.
She is survived by her husband, Jefferson “Jeff” Pitre; two sons, Chris Pitre and wife, Alison, and David Pitre and wife, Pam; two daughters, Nelly Dufrene and husband, Ted, and Rose Griffin and husband, David; one brother, Robert Pitre; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elphege and Argentina Bychurch Pitre; three brothers, Francis, Eusebe and Volcare Pitre; and three sisters, Stella P. Cantrelle, Louisa P. Griffin and Lula P. Saia.
She was a member of Golden Meadow Methodist Church.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
