Norman Joseph Granier Sr., 84, a native and resident of Kraemer, La., died at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010.


Mr. Granier was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a recipient of a Purple Heart. He was a retired school bus driver and custodian with the Lafourche Parish School Board. He loved “spreading dirt,” woodworking, riding his tractors and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Ledora Usea Granier; six sons, Allan, Randy, Kerry, Norman Jr., Barry and Mark Granier; daughters, Debra Allen and Ursula Hudson; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by two brothers, Malcolm and Theodore Granier Jr.; and two sisters, Thelma Falgoust and Marie Parsons.

He is buried at St. Lawrence the Martyr Life Center in Kraemer.
