Ollen Matthew Broussard, 65, a native of Franklin, La., and resident of Cankton, La., died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.
Mr. Broussard was a loving and caring son, husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and trawling. Whether it was coloring, building puzzles or toy trains, if the grandkids were around he was right in the middle of the action. In his earlier years he played saxophone with Kerry and the Tempos. He was a compassionate and positive person who was more concerned with other people’s needs than his own.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen Broussard; daughters, Donna (Kevin) Hunter, Robin (Christopher) Yancoski and Rebecca (Larry) Rodriguez; parents, Clifford and Elise Broussard; and six grandchildren.
Burial is at Franklin Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
