Flood protection to sediment boosts initiatives
November 21, 2011Omar Carpenter, 70, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011.
Mr. Carpenter was retired from the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
He is survived by his wife, Virgia Carpenter; sister, Ruth Carpenter; and nephew: Steve (Jetti) Daly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, O.D. and Florence Carpenter.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
